Welcome to the Restoration Partnership!
We’re glad you’re visiting our website and hope you will join the growing group of people in and around Burwash and Etchingham that are attempting to partner with God in His work of restoration of our villages and community.
We believe that God wants to bring about a comprehensive, overflowing restoration and that He holds out an open invitation to everyone to collaborate with Him as He seeks to restore each of us individually, our families, and our community. Everyone is invited, regardless of your personal beliefs about God.
Why Restoration?
Restoration starts with the restoration of God’s kingdom.
Each of us are kings and queens of our own lives and our own households, and God will not usurp the freedom and authority He has given each of us. As we acknowledge Jesus as God and as our personal Saviour, we effectively crown Jesus as Lord and invite His kingdom to come - firstly in our own lives, and with our willing and active collaboration, He progressively restores our relationship with Him, and in the process, over time, restores our soul, our hope, our faith, our trust, our innocence, our true identity, and our well-being.
After this inward restoration, God desires to add the restoration of relationships, families, communities, and reputation, as well as the restoration of finances, land, buildings, and businesses. This is a comprehensive and all-encompassing restoration of all things to Himself.
God does all things well and desires to pour this out into our lives and communities. To be the lifter of our heads so that we would look to Him for all that we need for life.
We believe that God is inviting each of us into this work and to live it out. To praise Him for the restoration that has already begun and been accomplished, and to pray for this work to be multiplied, accelerated, and completed in our contexts - our families, schools, churches, workplaces, communities. It will take time. It may seem slow in coming. We will persevere in asking, seeking, and knocking. We are all called to be restorers and rebuilders of what has been ruined and lost (Isaiah 61) and that is what we, the Restoration Partnership is seeking to do - firstly with our hearts and our prayers and then with our hands and our feet.
We hope you will join in this fledgling Restoration Partnership. Contact us with any questions or suggestions you may have. We’d love to hear from you.
